Speaker: Geir Grønnesby

Geir Grønnesby is a well-known name for everyone interested in brewing stones. He is an archaeologist at NTNU Science Museum in Trondheim and has conducted several excavations of brewing stones and written several articles on the subject.

About the lecture: The lecture will tell about the archaeological significance of brewing stones on farmyards, which especially appear in large quantities on farmyards in the younger Iron Age. This is probably connected to the establishment of the Norwegian historical farm happening at that time. The question then becomes: what is the connection between the establishment of the farm and beer brewing?
