Kornølfestival dinner

As part of the Norwegian Kornøl Festival, a festival dinner will be held at Raftevold Hotel on Saturday, October 5th at 6:30 PM. This event was a huge success when it was first held in 2023.

This year we have something really special on the menu that you won’t want to miss. We’ll be serving saudehaud, which is flayed, salted, smoked and steamed. It’s beautiful mutton that tastes much like pinnekjøtt.

Saudehaud is a local variation of smalahove and is traditional west coast fare at its best. If you haven’t tried this before, this is a unique opportunity. The sides are classic—boiled potatoes and rutabaga mash. After the saudehaud, we’ll serve Nordfjordlefser, traditional lefse served for special occasions.

With the food, of course, we’ll serve beer. The brewers will present and serve the 3 largest farmhouse ale styles in Norway. Konnjøl from Hornindal, homebrew from Voss, and maltøl/stjørdalsøl from Stjørdal.

This is a nice break from the festival with the chance to enjoy a great meal combining good local food and local drink. We promise good atmosphere in a pleasant social setting.
