Winner of the People's Choice Award 2023

Everyone who comes to the festival gets a ballot they can use to vote for a beer. The judges count the votes and announce a winner.

This year’s winner went to Olav Sverre Gausemel with an uncooked traditional konnjøl fermented with Gausemel kveik. The win was dominant with 18 votes. This is the third year Olav Sverre takes home the people’s choice award!

The prize for the people’s choice award was two cornelius kegs sponsored by Jernia Ørsta , a free ticket to Ørsta Volda Bryggarlag’s brewing championship and a selection of malt from Natrud .

The competition for 2nd and 3rd place in the people’s choice award was very close this year. Here is a list of the beers that got 5 votes or more:
