Home Brewer: 332 Furnesåsa Kveikeri
Carl Andreas Myrland originally comes from Romsdal, a different region north of Hornindal. He would have loved to show up with a true “romsdalsøl”, but in that area all knowledge of farmhouse brewing seems to be lost.
He has been a home brewer for a few years, and been interested in farmhouse ales for the past 3 years. The last few years he’s mostly brewed raw ales in the Hornindal style (kornøl), but he’s experimented with dry hopping, different strengths for the juniper infusion, adding hops to the mash, and so on.
This is the second year he participates at the Norwegian Kornøl Festival.
The beers:
- Smokey & The Bandit, 6% - A smoke beer with pilsner malts and stjørdal malts, fermented with #10 Ebbegarden.
- Opa Honndal Style, 6% - Classic raw ale with 100% Norwegian pilsner malts, Saaz hops, and #21 Stalljen.
