Home Brewers: Vasstrond'e Småbryggjarlaug

These brewers come from Voss, high up toward the end of the valley, in Vossestrand. Two of them have made the trip to the festival.
Ivar A. Geithung comes from elsewhere and moved to Voss, but learned brewing from his father-in-law, and has carried on the tradition. In Vossestrand the kveik had died out, so they brewed with Idun Blå, but otherwise their beers were much like other Voss beers. Except that they used meadwort.
Ivar Husdal has long experience as a beer brewer, but this time he’s decided to participate with a beer that’s neither traditional, nor yet modern. His beer is an attempt to recreate prehistoric beers.
The beers:
- Chop and Brew Haimabrygg - #1 Sigmund. Vossaøl with juniper infusion and meadwort. Strong! Own hops
- Haimabrygg fra Selland - Not sure what yeast. Vossaøl with juniper infusion and meadwort. Strong! Own hops
- Tidlaus, 5% - #1 Sigmund. Fermented in the mash with moss and chaga
